The short-haul ticket includes the boarding stop and the following four stops. Transportation transfers are permitted. The ticket is not valid for express bus and regional bus services. You can be accompanied by four kids up to the age of 6. It is not valid for the Pöstlingbergbahn.

When taking a dog the MINI ticket can be used for the animal´s transportation.

After validating you should start your trip should be started immediately and continued directly.

Within the core area of Linz, the LINZ AG LINIEN tickets are valid for all other public transportation services.

The long-haul MIDI ticket is generally not transferable, but can be transferred to children and persons with a half price pass only. You can be accompanied free of charge by four kids under up to the age of 15. This ticket is not valid for the Pöstlingbergbahn.

After validating you should start your trip should be started immediately and continued directly. The same is true for the corresponding prepaid ticket.

Within the core area of Linz, the LINZ AG LINIEN tickets are valid for all other public transportation services.

MAXI-ticket (day ticket)

Day ticket for adults

This ticket allows you to use all public transportation services within the core area of Linz (excluding the Pöstlingbergbahn/bus) for one day. The MAXI ticket can be transferred to any other person. You can be accompanied free of charge by four kids up to the age of 15.

24h-Ticket

24h ticket for adults € 4,20

(excluding Pöstlingbergbahn)
The 24h ticket is valid from voiding – or time of purchase, respectively – for 24 hours for utilisation of all public means of transport in core zone Linz. The reduced fare applies for children under 15 and persons with entitlement to a reduced fare.
Up to four children under 15 can be conveyed free of charge. The ticket is transferable. Changing is possible

Juvenile ticket

For young persons between the age of 15 and 21.

The age has to be proved by an official photo identification, e. g. 4You-Card, ÖBB-Vorteilskarte <26, passport). You can be accompanied free of charge by up to four kids under the age of 6.

Weekly ticket

Transferable Weekly Ticket

After validating the weekly ticket, it will be valid for seven days (e.g. from Monday to Sunday, 12.00 a.m.). You can be accompanied free of charge by one adult and four kids on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. This ticket is not valid for the Pöstlingbergbahn.

Within the core area of Linz, the LINZ AG LINIEN tickets are valid for all other public transportation services.

Monthly ticket

Transferable monthly ticket

After validating the monthly ticket it will be valid for one month (e.g. from Oct. 15th until Nov. 14th). This ticket is also valid for the Pöstlingbergbahn. This ticket is valid for two adults and four kids up to the age of 15 on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

Within the core area of Linz, the LINZ AG LINIEN tickets are valid for all other public transportation services.

Monthly ticket for only € 37,00 at selected ticket machines of LINZ AG LINIEN and in advance sale at tobacconist's and at the LINZ AG-Kundenzentrum .

Senior monthlyticket

Monthly Ticket for senior citizens

After validating the monthly ticket, it will be valid for one month (e.g. from Oct. 15th until Nov. 14th). This ticket is also valid for the Pöstlingbergbahn.

Within the core area of Linz, the LINZ AG LINIEN tickets are valid for all other public transportation services.

Due to grants of the City of Linz the price is € 20,70. The ticket is only valid in combination with a LINZ AG LINIEN Senior ID Card. This ticket is also available for seniors from Leonding, Wilhering, Steyregg, Pasching and Puchenau.

Apprentice monthlyticket

Monthly ticket for apprentices

After validating the monthly ticket, it will be valid for one month (e.g. from Oct, 15th until Nov, 14th, 24.00 o'clock). This ticket is also valid for the Pöstlingbergbahn.

Within the core area of Linz, the LINZ AG LINIEN tickets are valid for all other public transportation services.

The price is € 20,70. This ticket is only valid in combination with a OÖVV Apprentices ID Card. It is obtainable for apprentices who are not eligible for a free ticket.

Supplementary fare card for pupils

Monthly ticket for pupils and apprentices

After validating the monthly ticket, it will be valid for one month (e.g. from Oct. 15th until Nov. 14th, 24.00 o'clock). This ticket is also valid for the Pöstlingbergbahn.

Within the core area of Linz, the LINZ AG LINIEN tickets are valid for all other public transportation services.

The price is € 7,00. The monthly ticket is only valid in combination with the OÖVV school/apprentice ID Card, with driving authorisation in thecor area of Linz.

Pupils which are not eligible for a free ticket may only use this card in combination with a valid OÖVV-pupils pass on schooldays (monday till saturday) after 12.00 o'clock and on sundays and public holidays.

Aktivpass Ticket

Monthly ticket for Aktivpass owners

After validating the monthly ticket, it will be valid for one month (e.g. from Oct. 15th until Nov. 14th). This ticket is also valid for the Pöstlingbergbahn.

Within the core area of Linz, the LINZ AG LINIEN tickets are valid for all other public transportation services.

Due to grants of the City of Linz the price is € 10,-, for Leonding is the price € 12,-. The monthly ticket is only valid in combination with an Aktivpass .

It is necessary to put down the number of your Aktivpass before using the ticket.

Dog Ticket

Monthly ticket for dogs

After validating the monthly ticket, it will be valid for one month (e.g. from Oct, 15th until Nov, 14th). This ticket is also valid for the Pöstlingbergbahn.

Within the core area of Linz, the LINZ AG LINIEN tickets are valid for all other public transportation services.

Generally, the public transportation of your dogs is free of charge, as long as the pet can be transported in a transport basket. For dogs of bigger size it is necessary to purchase a MINI Ticket.

For this kind of pets there is the possibility to purchase a monthly ticket. It is available for € 20,70. Those dogs have to be transported by keeping on short leash and by wearing a muzzle.

Pöstlingberg Railway return ticket

Valid on the day of issue and validation for the journey there and back.
You can be accompanied free of charge by up to two kids under the age of 6. This does not apply to kindergarten groups. Every child of a kindergarten group has to hold a reduced ticket.

Valid on the day of issue and validation for a single journey. Breaks of journey are not allowed, the journey must be started immediately.
You can be accompanied free of charge by up to two kids under the age of 6. This does not apply to kindergarten groups. Every child of a kindergarten group has to hold a reduced ticket.

Reduced € 1,70 (the reduced tariff applies to children under 15 years and to passengers being entitled to tariff reductions.)

Pöstlingberg Railway adventure ticket

Reduced adventure ticket € 4,30 (The reduced fare applies for children under 15 and persons with entitlement to a reduced fare.)

This ticket is valid for:
- the journey there and back
- 24h-ticket für the whole core zone

The 24h ticket is valid from voiding – or time of purchase, respectively – for 24 hours for utilisation of all public means of transport in core zone Linz and as return ticket for Pöstlingberg Railway. The last journey must be finished within the period of 24 hours.

Up to two children under 6 can be conveyed free of charge. This does not apply to the Grotto Railway, as well as to kindergarten groups. Every child of a kindergarten group has to hold a reduced ticket.

Tickets are sold at the LINZ AG Customer Centre , at selected tobacconists and at Linz' Tourist information (Hauptplatz, Altes Rathaus).

Job ticket

The job ticket, as a product of LINZ AG LINIEN, offers company and institutional employees the chance to use all LINZ AG LINIEN' means of transport at a fair price.
Therefore holders can on the one hand save the time of looking for parking lots and on the other reduce the environmental impact. These persons obtain an attractive access to public transportation at Linz.

What does the job ticket consist of?

How to obtain a job ticket?
Ask your staff association or the corporate management if there is an agreement on the job ticket. If there is one, you will get an order form for the job ticket, which entitles you, as a member of your company, to obtain a job ticket.

The issuance requires the completed order form, an official photo identification and a passport photograph.

Costs of the job ticket
1. Basic amount (employer's contribution)
The basic amount ist € 2,- per employee and month at the minimum (as at January 2007). It enables the reduction of the job ticket in comparison to normal commutation tickets.
2. Personal annual ticket (employee's contribution)
By the payment of the basic amount all employees of a company are entitled to obtain a personal annual ticket for € 18,50 a month (as at January 2010), which comes up to half of the price of a monthly ticket.
The validity period is twelve months.

The job ticket is issued at the LINZ AG Customer Center.

MEGA-ticket (Yearly Ticket)

MEGA-ticket(Yearly Ticket)
Transferable Yearly Ticket

The Mega ticket consists of a main ticket and one coupons (each is valid for one month, including the second day of the following month). Two adults and four kids up to the age 15 can use this ticket free of charge on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

Due to grants of the City of Linz the price is € 370,00 .It is valid for twelve months.

Jahreskarte available for Adults for only € 370,00

Payment can be done by automatic debit transfer system in ten instalments. Available at the LINZ AG-Kundenzentrum

MEGA-ticket for senior citizens

Annual ticket for senior citizens

MEGA-ticket for senior citizens for only € 207,00

Payments must be made by bank withdrawal in ten parts of the total sum. The ticket will be issued at LINZ AG Customer Center .

The MEGA-ticket itself consists of a master card and a coupon. Every coupon is valid for the current until the second of the following calendar month.

Because of a Linz' borough subsidy the ticket price is only € 207,-. The ticket is valid for twelve calendar month.

The MEGA-advantage: entitles you for lower tariffs at the AST and for lower rental fees at the car rental agency SIXT. Additionally, holders of the MEGA-ticket will have special prices at Denzel MOBILITY CarSharing GmbH.

The MEGA-ticket for senior citizens is also valid for the Pöstlingberg Railway.

Coupons you may not use because of illness, holidays, etc. cannot be replaced by LINZ AG LINIEN. At the end of a calendar month the MEGA-ticket may be cancelled by the customer or an authorized representative without giving reasons. If the cancellation is before the end of validity, you will need to return the MEGA-ticket and the unused coupons to LINZ AG LINIEN.

Journeys within the core zone of Linz are considered as journeys within the Verkehrsverbund and therefore holders have the choice between all possible transportation companies.

Semester-Ticket

Semester-Ticket for Students

The MEGA Card is only available for students who receive family allowance and who are residents of Linz or Leonding. The semester ticket is valid for five months: in the winter term from October to February and in the summer term from March to September. The new price amounts € 50,-.

Additional benefits are better conditions for the on-call taxi (AST) and Sixt car-sharing.

Payment can be done by standing order for a direct debit.
Available at LINZ AG-Kundenzentrum.

Single-Ticket

The Single-Ticket allows you to use all means of transportation of LINZ LINIEN, except for the Pöstlingbergbahn and Collective on-call taxi (AST) for 60 minutes.

Right before the expiration of your ticket you may receive an offer for a Day-Ticket (valid for one calendar day) or a 24h-ticket. Two tickets may be bought by an order and up to six tickets may be orderd per day.

Linz24 - the 24-hour ticket

Additionally to the single and day ticket LINZ AG LINIEN offer the 24-hour ticket as a mobile ticket. Therefore you are able to buy your ticket per SMS indpendently from opening hours of ticket agencies and loose cash.

By the Linz24-ticket you may move freely in core zone of LINZ AG LINIEN for 24 hours.

The 24-hour ticket fare is € 4,20 with a validity for 24 hours in the whole core zone of LINZ AG LINEN (apart from Pöstlingberg and Grotto Railway).

Payment per mobile phone
Private customers of A1, Orange, T-Mobile and tele.ring pay with their mobile phone and paybox directly. All other mobile phone customers will have to register for paybox first.
