Hafen Linz – Logistics with a system

Our business involves great responsibility with regard to upkeeping the supply chain. Yet, the safety and health of our customers and employees is our primary concern. The Port of Linz is the largest port on the upper section of the Danube. Roughly 3.5 million tons of goods are handled every year at the public port and the industrial port of voestalpine. The Port of Linz is an easy-to-access, centrally located and internationally renowned logistics hub offering all the amenities of professional handling of goods: container terminal, commercial and tanker port with all the required handling equipment, warehouses and piece good storage, temperature-controlled storage and storage of hazardous substances as well as towage services.

The port fees are charged on the basis of sections 68 and 70 of the Austrian Shipping Law Schifffahrtsgesetz 1997 (Federal Law Gazette No. 62/1997) in association with Sections 41 to 51 of the Austrian order on shipping facilities Schifffahrtsanlagenverordnung and the relevant permission granted by the city of Linz administrative office.

The person authorised to dispose of the vehicle or floating body and the captain are jointly and severably liable to pay the port fees.
