Clean with natural gas
The excellent image that natural gas generally enjoys is based on both its advantages for the consumer and in particular on its the benefits for the environment. Natural gas enters the underground network as primary energy, i.e. without conversion, from the gas field to the consumer. It is non-toxic and of itself has no smell. For this reason, it is given an artificial immediately noticeable odorous substance.

Natural gas is a clean product, consisting primarily of hydrogen and carbon. There are practically no polluting residues such as heavy metals, fluoride or sulphur. Consequently, natural gas burns without leaving solid residues in the boiler, creating neither ash nor soot. This spares the environment and naturally also the appliances in use.

In addition, natural gas out of the ground is convincingly low-emission. When natural gas is burned, there is by far less CO2 output as compared with all other fossil fuels. Practically no SO2 or dust is emitted.

Safe and reliable with natural gas
All natural gas appliances are today fitted with a safe ignition system. In simple terms, this means that there can be no gas without a flame. The obtaining, transport, storage and use of natural gas has been tried and tested for a very long time. Uninterrupted availability is guaranteed. In Upper Austria, practically one third of the natural gas comes from domestic sources. The remainder is acquired from deposits in Russia and the North Sea. The deposits currently known alone are sufficient for several generation.
