Come and visit the land of dwarfs and fantasy - the Grottenbahn

Let yourself be spirited away into a different world. You and your children can experience a journey on the Dragon Train through the Land of Dwarves or against the backdrop of historic Linz.

The most popular tourist attraction of the provincial capital Linz - the Grotto Railway was built in 1906 in one of the fortification towers constructed on the Pöstlingberg by Emperor Maximilian. A trip on the Pöstlingberg Grotto Railway opens up a fairytale world for old and young. Let yourself be spirited away into a different world...

Opening on 1st March

The Grotto Railway opens their doors after the winter break. Do a trip at the Pöstlingberg -the dwarfs are waiting for you.

Spring festival on 19th march

The first highlight of the new year is the spring festival. The hardworking dwarfs cleaned the Grottenbahn very well and now she is glowing in their coloured lights.
But the dwarfs are missing three things – please help us to find it. You can win one of three great surprises. Come and see – we are waiting for you.
